Looking for Master Level Independt Therapist licensed in New Mexico. Border Area Mental Helth Services (BAMHS) is a non-profit cooporation operating in a four county area in SW New Mexico. BAMHS has offices in Grant, Luna, Hidalgo and Catron Counties.

We invite your resumes and information about our life style, which is multi-cultural and borders Mexico and Arizona.  We also have multi-climate conditions in this part of New Mexico which offers a high desert climate from approximately 4,000 MSL to high mountain areas with peaks reaching 12,000 MSL and above.  This area offers multi-outdoor activities and is generally rural with low populations.

MASTER LEVEL THERAPIST(S)

 

Border Area Mental Health Services, a community behavioral health corporation, is seeking a dedicated individual(s) with knowledge of Southwestern culture to provide substance abuse and mental health counseling. 

This position(s) requires:

 

v     Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or closely related mental health field, a New Mexico LPCC or LISW license (or ability to obtain licensure), or dually licensed in NM for counseling and substance abuse; plus a minimum of five years supervised experience in therapy, crisis intervention and consultation.

 

v     Experience in working with individuals with serious mental illness preferred.  Clinical supervision will be provided. 

 

v     You must be willing to work nontraditional hours. 

 

v     Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) preferred.

 

v     Dependable transportation, and a valid driver license and acceptable driving record are essential.

 

v     A background clearance is mandatory.
