Community and Special Projects
Border Area Mental Health's Community and Special Projects program includes programs to reduce alcohol and substance abuse hazards, intervene with those suffering from suicide-related disorders such as depression, treat mental illness among qualifying criminal offenders, and more.

Jail Diversion Program
The Jail Diversion Initiative is to ensure that eligible adult offenders with mental illness and/or co-occurring substance abuse are diverted from jail and provided with access to high quality, culturally appropriate and community integrated treatment.
Rural Outreach Services for Behavioral Health
A consortium of leading behavioral health providers in Catron, Grant, Luna and Hidalgo Counties work to improve access to care, transitions between levels of care and workforce development.
Suicide Prevention Initiative—Recognition, Intervention and Treatment
This initiative works to provide a coordinated community response to suicide and suicide-related disorders (such as depression) in Luna, Grant, Hidalgo and Catron Counties.
